Life

  • Working on more than ever for less than ever. I know where the ship is heading.
  • Open to pretty much any work: full-time, contract, consulting or collaborations.

Recent site changes

  1. new Brought Cave In, an old Python puzzle game of mine, to the browser: grab sticks while the cave fills with rocks, or watch a pathfinding AI dig through it and draw the route it plans.
  2. update Moved three side projects off AWS and onto Cloudflare Workers: two Discord bots and the gym tracker my friends and I log our sets in, so the server they ran on could finally be shut down.
  3. new Every article can be speed read now: one word at a time on a marked pivot letter, with the article scrolling along underneath so you can drop back into it where you stopped.
  4. update Recent site changes on this page now flip to a Top 3 podium: the three coolest things I made in the last month.
  5. new Added a typing speed test to Play with it: race the clock on random words, or type one of my articles, a classic like Meditations or the Odyssey, or your own text, with live momentum bars and a clock that stops when you pause.
  6. update NPC Voices can now choose which letters make a sound: just the start of each vowel group, every vowel, or every letter. Press the Delay Lama tile twice and the monk talks instead of singing.
  7. update Swapped NPC Voices' Banjo-Kazooie style for a Delay Lama one: a singing monk who slides from note to note with an echo behind him.
  8. new Put a guide to book clubs on my writing shelf: what they are, why join one, how to find or start one, and the tools that help.
  9. update Added a section to How to Learn on teaching one obvious step at a time, with a small birthday-odds puzzle that makes you guess before it explains.
  10. update Logged my first phone games on the Impossible List: 100% of Melvor Idle and wins over the top two players in Rumble Club.
